COVID -19 Procedures

On admission we will ask if you are well. Please do not attend your appointment if you are unwell. Call to inform our staff prior to attending if you are unsure. 

• We ask that you only bring one other person to your appointment 
• You will have your temperature taken on arrival
• Social distancing (1.5 metres apart) will be implemented where possible 
• Staff will be practicing Hand Hygiene and alcohol rub is provided for use

Please rest assured your surgery and post-operative care will proceed as normal and we will provide you with the safest care possible.

Current NSW Health guidelines for having an anaesthetic post covid infection are as follows: 
4 weeks for asymptomatic 
6 weeks for symptomatic without hospitalisation
8 to 10 weeks symptomatic who is diabetic, immunocompromised or hospitalised 
12 weeks for those admitted to ICU due to COVID 

An individual assessment can be made by your Surgeon/Anaesthetist to determine your suitability for surgery.
